Economy

"…what more is necessary to make us a happy and a prosperous people? …a wise and frugal Government, which shall restrain men from injuring one another, shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government." - Thomas Jefferson, First Inaugural Address - Wednesday, March 1, 1801

America was founded on the economic principles of the free enterprise system. An individual was once free to operate his business under the law virtually without federal government intervention and regulation.

True economic recovery and prosperity is through small businesses and the private sector. Real job growth occurs outside of the federal government’s control. This means we should not look to the federal government to “create jobs.” Federally created jobs turn into a big government that sucks our money away in taxes, fees and increased costs for complying with rules and regulations (our current situation).

Thankfully, we can regain our economic footing and restore our status as the strongest economy in the world. First, we must elect representatives who firmly believe in restricting the federal government to its Constitutional boundaries. Second, reduce or eliminate federal rules, regulations, and laws that hinder or prohibit the growth of business. Third, reduce federal taxes on individuals and businesses. Fourth, reduce federal government spending and entitlement programs. These steps will put America back on a pro-growth track for the future.
